Donna meets Martha
I am really glad this scene ignored that trope of girl fights over man. It’s sexist and would have made no sense in this context of the scene or the characters.
I really hated that Rose was made to be part of trope in episodes like School Reunion. It makes sense of some level because she was worried that she was going to end up like Sarah-Jane but it was overplayed and made her seem needlessly insecure and dependent on the Doctor.
And the Doctor tries to play into that asking them not to fight over him. Like he is that amazing and wonderful. Really?
Instead Martha and Donna get to bond over their shared experiences and become friends instead of wasting time over a bloke.

Mother isn’t here now —
Who knows what she’d say?
Nothing’s quite so clear now.
Feel you’ve lost your way?
You are not alone, believe me…
No one is alone, believe me, truly.
So it occurred to me that, since most everyone has really only heard Lea’s Eponine from the TAC, they’ve not heard certain sections of her performance.
